Our Management Team

Tom Kuschinski is founder and president of DTN Management Company. As president, Tom contributes to every aspect, function and department of DTN’s business outline. The 40-year evolution of DTN Management Co. started in 1973. As a new Michigan State Graduate working as an Electrical Engineer Tom began to explore opportunities in property management. Finding modest success, he returned to MSU to earn a master’s in marketing. As Tom’s passion for property management grew, DTN’s portfolio also expanded, progressively acquiring larger properties within the Greater Lansing Area. To date, DTN Management Co. has created over 500 local jobs, donates over $250,000 dollars to local charities and has helped to stabilize the local business economy. DTN Management’s core values of hard work, exceptional customer service, and personal integrity are a reflection of Tom’s personal business philosophies. As a lifelong Lansing resident, Tom continues to devote time and funding to the community that has fostered his entrepreneurial dreams. He has created a scholarship program with Michigan State University and maintains active membership within local organizations such as the Property Management Association of Mid-Michigan, The Michigan Chamber of Commerce, The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce and Mason Area Chamber of Commerce. Tom is also a licensed real estate broker and Builder in the State of Michigan.

Nick (Iqbal) Uppal is founder and corporate treasurer of DTN Management Co., and has served as corporate treasurer since its founding in 1973. Nick functions as the economic advisor of DTN. His responsibilities include company policymaking, risk management, development of fiscal guidelines, and corporate budgeting. He also forges new and nurtures existing relationships with banking institutions and investors. The depth of these relationships and DTN’s well-executed company policies are directly correlated to his ability as Corporate Treasurer. His leadership has brought fruition to DTN’s outstanding success and progression in the entire Lansing business community. Nick also maintains active membership within local organizations, including the Institute of Real Estate Management, The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, The Michigan Chamber of Commerce, The Property Management Association of Mid-Michigan and the Lansing Downtown Development Authority. In addition to his active local memberships, he maintains a national level of involvement, participating in the International Council of Shopping Centers, Investors Education Network, Inc. and the National Apartment Association. Nick is alum of University of Michigan with Bachelor and Masters degree in Engineering and Computers. He is also a licensed real estate broker and builder in the State of Michigan..
